We have a selection of the most commonly used plant oils,
all of which are 100% Pure Organic
Plant Essential Oils.
First, organically-cultivated plants are used. Second, the method of extraction is steam
distillation. This gives a pure, unadulterated oil - the essence of the plant
itself. Third, no additives, preservatives
or any other substances are added at any time during cultivation, extraction or handling.
Therefore, these oils contain the valuable, natural and pure components of the respective plants which produce the
characteristic actions.
We give here brief descriptions of the plant essential oils we stock.
The effects stated refer to the external use of each oil
and when used correctly. They are given for info only and are not
meant to be for therapeutic purposes. For medical conditions,
please consult a health care professional.
Pure essential oils need to be mixed with a base or carrier oil, such as Sweet Almond Oil or Wheat Germ Oil,
if used on the skin. Stop use at once if there is an adverse physical reaction to any oil. Never use
essential oils internally without the advice of a trained healthcare professional.

Vitamin E, to make the scent last longer. Dab onto skin sparingly at the pulse points.
Eau de toilette. Mix 2 teaspoons of essential oil into 100ml of an 80:20 mixture of ethanol alcohol /

Essential oils are used in many areas of our daily lives. The most common uses are for aromatherapy, beauty
and skin care, massages, natural pest control, household remedies, and in cooking for flavouring of foods.
Natural plant oils are volatile and delicate substances. They deteriorate and oxidise fairly quickly.
So they should be used within about 6 months from the time of production.
It is important that essential oils are transported and handled under the right conditions after manufacture,
or the shelf-life and potency may be reduced.
Buy only a small quantity of an essential oil each time, so as to ensure you are always using a fresh oil.
Keep all oils out of sunlight or any bright light and well away from heat. Otherwise, their effectiveness
and life of potency will be considerably affected.
Store all essential oils in a cool, dark place, such as in the refrigerator.
Keeping stocks of essential oils in the refrigerator will extend their usability for another several months.
However, once taken out of the refrigerator, let the unopened bottle warm to room temperature before use, to prevent
water moisture entering the oil.
Do not put essential oils into plastic containers, as the oil will interact with the plastic and will
leach out unsafe synthetic substances into itself.
Ensure that the oil is not in contact with any plastic parts of the bottle, such as the bottle cap or
dropper, whilst in storage.
The bottle should be kept tightly closed and the cap or lid put back on as soon as the required amount
is poured out.
Keep oils pure during storage. Care should be taken to ensure that the oils do not adulterate one another.
Pour out each oil directly from the bottle, or use a fresh, clean dropper or spoon to dispense each oil.
Or rinse the dropper or spoon well in vodka or alcohol between the dispensing of each oil.
When mixing oils, use only 2 or 3 different oils together. About 4 or 5 oils can be mixed successfully
if some of them are from the same aromatic group. If they are all different or if using more oils,
skillful mixing is needed to create a pleasant scent.
As essential oils are the pure, concentrated form of active components of plants, care should be taken in its use.
Do not apply the essential oil directly to the skin, as that can cause an adverse reaction in some persons.
Remember to always mix very small amounts, about 1% to 3% by ratio, of the essential oil with a base
or carrier oil, or a suitable skin lotion or cream, if you want to use it on the skin for massage.
Suitable carrier oils for massage are Sweet Almond Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil,
Hazelnut Oil, Olive Oil and Coconut Oil.
Up to 5 drops of an essential oil can be mixed into a teaspoon of skin cream for applying to the skin
of the face, neck or hands. Oils for dry skins: Sandalwood, Rose, Neroli, Cedarwood. Oils for normal skins:
Lavender, Rose Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Clary Sage.
Oils for oily skins: Lemon, Cajuput, Peppermint, Frankincense.
Perfumes and colognes using essential oils require a fixative to enable the scent to last. Essential oils which also
act as fixatives are Benzoin, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Myrrh, Orissa, Angelica, Balsam Of Peru, Vetiver, Vanilla, Musk.
To make a perfume oil, mix a small amount of essential oil with a carrier oil in the ratio of about 30:70.
Skin cream can be used instead of a carrier oil. Add a few drops of a fixative to make the scent last. Apply small
dabs to the skin.
It is best to avoid ingesting essential oils and to use them only externally when using them around the home.
Certain essential oils can be used internally, but should be done only under the supervision of a trained
health care professional.
Dab some fresh-scented essential oils, such as Bergamot or Lemon,
onto cotton wool or tissue paper and leave exposed to freshen the air in a room or to repel insects.
Mix 2 teaspoons of essential oil into 1/2 cup or 100ml of ethanol or strong vodka and dissolve thoroughly. Add the
mixture to 100ml of water in a spray container. Shake well to mix. Spray around the room as an air freshener or
insect repellant.
Mix organic essential oils into a small bottle of skin lotion, about 20 drops oil to 100ml skin lotion, and mix
thoroughly. Apply to the skin as insect repellant.
Suitable oils to use for insect repellant are Citronella, Bergamot,
Grapefruit,
Lemon, Cedarwood, Pine, Lavender,
